Global Warming; A process that is the impending doom of our planet; in the past was an issue that was debated, particularly by big business types whom had something to lose if we put restrictions on industries that contribute to climate change. However, it is now accepted by the majority of people as a fact.
Is Donald Trump included in this majority of intellectual and forward thinking people… of course not! Should we give this guy the benefit of the doubt and assume that he has just alluded to such feelings? No. Surely a serious Presidential candidate would never speak out actively against such a polarizing and troubling issue that so many people have grown to accept.
On the contrary…
This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps, and our GW scientists are stuck in ice
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 2, 2014
I will start off with his choice of language here, if I may. The fact that a potential president of the United States has tweeted “GLOBAL WARMING bullshit” is absolutely unacceptable. I am far from a language prude, my swearing cherry was popped long ago, but I am not running for position of a world leader.
Tweets like this are incriminating. If Facebook could keep a qualified college graduate from landing a job for their social media history, why wouldn’t tweets such as this, blatantly slapping science and reason in the face, keep a bloated grapefruit of a man from being President?
I am far from an expert meteorologist. I have not even taken an Earth Science class since I was sporting a duster mustache, the badge of puberty shame, and therefore I will not be getting into facts supporting Global Warming as a real occurrence… that is for you to decide for yourself.
What is concerning here is Donald Trump’s blatant disregard to science. He claims that “windmills are destroying every country they touch – and the energy is unreliable and terrible”, yet he completely denies the fact that natural gas, oil, and coal have any negative effect on the climate.
He does not come off as a rational, informed member of society that seems capable of leading our nation; in fact, he often sounds more like a psychotic conspiracy theorist when discussing the issue:
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.

But wait there’s more; He has tweeted his global warming on several occasions
Ice storm rolls from Texas to Tennessee – I’m in Los Angeles and it’s freezing. Global warming is a total, and very expensive, hoax!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 6, 2013
It’s snowing & freezing in NYC. What the hell ever happened to global warming?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 21, 2013
This does not sound like a man who has the ability to reason or the adaptability which is required of the President of the United States of America. How does he sound to you, nation?
